I was managing the people I have blocked from my account on Tumblr, and against my better judgement I decided to peek at that Sky confessional blog I mentioned before. Once again, the takes were pretty tame for the time being, but then I saw an anonymous post that kinda highlights *why* I didn't like this blog. It is fully quoted below:

"people who put their shared memories where they play music next to the entrance of grandma oooohhh you piss me off guys.

NOBODY wants to see your bat cape rhythm pants performance ult hair playing senbonzakura/any billie eilish song for the 300th time, people are looking for someone who’d at least place a fire prop for a minute

and don’t get me started on shared spaces “to chill”, go put it literally ANYWHERE ELSE ON THIS MAP, people usually put CLOSETS here at the entrance to grab their fire props, not two tacky seats and a stupid flower pot

you’re not getting likes and hearts you’re getting pure annoyance and a trashcan button"

Ignoring the tone for a moment, I can understand the sentiment at it's base. TGC has gone to great lengths to nerf the ways in which players can AFK at grandmas. You used to have shared spaces which could cover all 6 plates, but they've been reduced to kinda-functional shared memories, or shared spaces where players equip their own burner props. That being said I feel like this response is disproportionate.

Players who don't make burners or prop shared spaces probably do know that putting their recordings next to the actually useful shared spaces will get their creations more attention but like... These shared spaces/memories aren't doing much to impact your ability to engage with Grandma's or Geyser. Yes it's harder to find the actually useful shared spaces/memories, but you know what you should do? Just skip to the next memory or hide the not-useful ones.

The post just also seems so unnecessarily cruel. "Two tacky seats and a stupid flower pot"... It feels mean to stomp on someone's creation like that even if they're not that impressive or positioned inconveniently. At the end of the day spaces like those are made by people who wanted to share their shit, and I think its best to assume they were placed with innocent intentions rather than to purposefully annoy. Also like, dude, it's just two seats and a flower pot. It can't hurt you. Why are we so mad.
